Sam Donley Camera Movement part 2

4)Drone/Bird's Eye
1:25-1:32
Captain America: Civil War (2016)
Directors: Anthony and Joe Russo
DP: Trent Opaloch
Content:To protect an old friend and stop a dangerous threat, Captain America is put at odds with his fellow Avengers.

This is literally a video of a drone modeled after a bird so I really had to use it. Anthony Mackie's character sends in a drone to get a closer look at a threat. After it is deployed we follow it through the air with what im 90% sure is a drone camera or crane cameras are even more impressive than I thought. It feels like we're flying alongside it, swooping through the air and navigating around power lines. This is much more engaging than watching a drone fly past a camera on the ground tracking it. It just makes us feel more connected to the drone's flight.

5) Wild Card
Daredevil Season 1 Episode 2 "Cut Man" (2015)
Director: Phil Abraham
DP: Matthew J. Lloyd
Logline: A blind lawyer with his other senses enhanced fights crime in Hell's Kitchen in New York.

Form: This fight is pretty much the coolest. Daredevil is here to save a little girl kidnapped by the Russian Mob. We are shown this hallway in preparation for a real cool fight we're about to watch. The whole scene is shot to look like one take, but there are a few spots where it hides a cut. The camera moves and rotates very slowly to keep up with the fights, it never leaves the path of the hallway and only gives us glimpses of the rooms but doesn't follow Daredevil when he goes into it. It is really impressive when the camera gets really close to the fight to pass through it and switch sides without getting in the way of the actors. We are able to feel really close to the fight and feel how long it is by using the limited edits to maintain continuity.
