Lighting Makeup- Marley Blackmon

Lighting Research
Director: Peter Weir
Cinematographer: Peter Biziou
Logline: The Truman Show is about Truman Burbank who is played by Jim Carrey. He is in a TV show and has no idea he is in it. It is about his everyday life and it is staged by the people around him.
  • The lighting in this specific scene is the opening scene of the movie. It starts with a man giving a speech about boring movies. It is a close up shot with dim lighting because his speech is gloomy. The lighting I really liked in this scene was the next part where it goes to Truman inside of the TV and the lighting is really dim and grainy. This portrays the main idea of the movie and how it is his life inside of the TV.
