Camera Movement Assignment: Brittany Pitts

This took place during the 2018 Super Bowl Pregame, where Pink sang the National Anthem while having the flu. 


1) Steadicam shot (0:00-0:36)
           There's an instance of steadicam so that they can get a nice steady pan of the military members displaying the flags of the various branches along with the U.S. flag.
 It's not a pan shot in the nature that it is a live event and the camera cannot be restrained to one spot.

2) Bird's eye shot (1:32-1:36)
            They use either a camera suspended in the air from cables or drone, probably the former.
            They use this so the audience can see the U.S. Flag displayed behind P!nk and the military members along with the rest of the center of the field.




Clownwise (2013)

3) Pan shot
           - The camera is situated in the middle of the room on a circular track so it can give a 360 degree pan around the room. 



Super 8 (2011)

Context: Several teenagers decide to come together and make a short film to enter into an international film competition. They meet at a train depot at night, so they can get a cool shot of the train, and the train derails and reveals something the teens never thought would happen.

4). Jib/ Crane shot (0:06-0:19)
             - In the second shot in the opening, there is a jib shot that zooms in to the teens getting out of a car, and then specifically to one of the main characters.

Context: The passengers of Oceanic flight 815 have just crashed on the island.

5) Wild Card: (1:01-1:30)
            The Pilot episode of this series features some handheld shots that give some shakiness and give the audience some of the feeling of urgency and panic.
